New Registration for PM Laptop Scheme

Shahbaz Sharif Laptop Scheme New Update

According to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, under the Shahbaz Sharif laptop scheme, the government of Pakistan will distribute laptops to talented students across the country. According to him, the aim of this project is to provide opportunities to improve academic ability by ensuring the supply of laptops to the talented students studying in higher educational institutions across the country, including Azad and Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that after getting a laptop from this scheme, the talented students will be able to improve their academic ability and also get online employment opportunities. In this regard, interested students will soon be able to complete their registration process.

Prime Minister’s Laptop Program Registration Form

The registration process for the 1/4 section of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2024 will start soon. After the formal announcement, interested students will be able to complete their registration with the help of the portal established by HEC ( Let us tell the students who want to register that, apart from this, the registration will not be completed from anywhere. There will be no offline application submission procedure for this. Laptops will be distributed among the students who complete the online registration.

Eligibility Criteria

Certain eligibility criteria have been set to get a laptop from the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to benefit from this scheme. It was determined that the details of the eligibility criteria are as follows:

Students who are enrolled in universities or degree-granting institutions that are part of the public sector, as well as those attending officially recognized sub-campuses, are eligible to participate in the Laptop Scheme provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Students who are Not Eligible

  • Students studying in any private-sector higher education institution are not eligible for this scheme.
  • Students who are studying for any government degree and postgraduate college-affiliated colleges are also ineligible for this scheme.
  • Students who have already received laptops from the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme cannot benefit from this scheme.
  • Apart from students belonging to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, students who are foreign nationals are also ineligible for this scheme.
  • Students holding dual citizenship cannot benefit from the scheme.
  • Students who opt for any other method other than online registration will not be able to benefit from this scheme.
  • Laptops will not be provided to students who cannot provide strong proof of their academic ability.
  • Students who will not be able to benefit from the laptop before distribution


The aim of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme is to distribute laptops among talented students to enable them to continue their education in this modern age according to high standards. Further, the purpose of providing laptops through this scheme is to provide online employment opportunities for students to continue their education. Apart from this, the Chief Minister of Punjab is also starting a laptop and iPad scheme for the students of universities and colleges.
