Benazir Kafalat Program
The program of providing financial assistance to women, including poor and deserving families, called the Benazir Kafalat Program is the largest and most basic program of BISP. This program was started by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, in 2008 for the welfare of women, which was limited to some areas. Now the Kafalat program has spread so much that this program is the largest cash transfer program providing financial assistance to women in Pakistan.
The first and primary objective of this program is to target poverty-stricken families and women and provide cash financial assistance to save them from falling victim to poverty due to the food crisis and rising inflation in the country. Currently, the Kafalat program is providing cash financial assistance to about 90 lakh families. Eligibility Criteria For Benazir Kafaalat Programme
Eligibility for the Benazir Kafalat program is decided through the Scientific Method Proxy Means Test (PMT). Which is known through the NSER survey. Households whose PMT score falls below the level of 32 in the NSER survey are made part of the kafalat program. Further eligibility criteria include monthly income, family members, employment, land, and other aspects.
Households or women who meet all these eligibility criteria can become part of the Kafalat program after completing their registration. The surprising thing is that there is no need to pay any fee to be a part of the program, and there is no need to pay any additional amount while getting the money.
Documents required to complete the NSER survey
The following documents are required to complete the NSER survey:
- National Identity Card (CNIC)
- Children’s B-Form (B-Form)
- Details of family members
- Previous registration information (if completed)
- Household electricity or gas bill
- Proof of residence
- Sources of income
- Proof of monthly income
- Details of the financial situation of the household

Procedure to complete registration step by step

BISP 8171 Result Check Online By CNIC
If a lot of time has passed since you completed the NSER survey but you still haven’t received any SMS from 8171, then you don’t need to worry. In this case, you can SMS your ID card number to 8171 to check your eligibility. Immediately after sending the SMS, you will receive a reply SMS from BISP. where all the information related to your eligibility will be available.
Further, if you send an SMS to 8171 but do not receive a reply SMS, you can check your eligibility using the online 8171 web portal.
Procedure to get Benazir Kafalat Program money
If you have received an SMS from 8171 that your Kafalat program money has been released, then you can get your money very easily. You have to go to the nearest BISP payment center with your ID card to get your money. After going there, you can complete your biometric verification and get your money. Please note that payment cannot be received through any other method. If your amount has been released, then you can get your amount using this method.
